Re: MLB Off-Topic
Anyone voting for Infante or Rios is a moron. Cain without a doubt deserves to be a starter. Salvy, Gordon, Moose and Hosmer deserve to be there. Not start though. 3 weeks ago Escobar deserved to go. Possibly start. But i wouldnt put him on a ballot these days.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I dont see it not happening now. I would like to think that Rios and Infante would decline to play though. Show up and enjoy the festivities but not actually play.Last edited by HozAndMoose; 06-08-2015, 05:49 PM.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
MLB definitely needs to change the process of selecting players for ASG... Isn't MLB the only major sport that has fan voting?Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
That chip on the shoulder hasn't gotten any smaller that's for sure. If Royals fans succeed it's going to do way more harm to them then good. Their starters don't get an all star break while Detroit and Minnesota get to rest up and the AL chance of winning home field advantage for the WS gets handicapped.
What if the commish goes all drastic again and it results in taking away fans voting again like in '57?
I'm sure all the players will be thankful for their AS bonus though. If MLB does have a problem with it they'll just rig/fix it with Korean bots like they did the face of mlb contest.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

All the sports do fan voting. That's why Kobe was named an ASG this year. I think they should keep it but let the managers decide the starters.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Before they fix voting, they need to rid of those AS-winner gets WS home-field.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Yep, that year the Reds stuffed the ballot. The only NL starter that wasn't from Cincinnati was Stan Musial.
The MLB did an investigation and found out that over half the ballots came from Cincinnati, because the newspaper made pre-filled ballots that readers just had to send in.
They didn't do a fan vote from 1958-1970.Boston Red Sox
