It's not just about the LSD no-hitter either. A lot of stuff about the general culture in baseball around that time. One that they'd like you to forget about
And, of course, about his recovery from addiction and work helping others who struggled with the same problems he had.

If you look at his upper body, he's not gaining any extra momentum from the "re-plant". The advantage is that you're getting another foot closer to the plate, which reduces the batter's reaction time. But I don't see him gaining any kind of actual velocity from these mechanics. If anything, he's just drifting at the end and actually slowing down.Comment

Personally, I think he's getting some of it back (compared to that of Walden's delivery). My point remains that if he was physically able to even take a second hop like that (and he very well may be), that shouldn't be any more illegal than what he's doing now. Maybe that's just me.
