There is an issue holding it up, but aside from MLB themselves, what other reasons could there even be?

    Geez.

I know what the plan is. You've repeated the same thing like three times now.

The venue is irrelevant. The game is going to be played for thousands at bars and restaurants. You yourself has stated it's been done before. The most likely hurdle would be a network not wanting the game being played publicly and not getting anything for it OR the fact that it can be logistically difficult to put together.

But since your discounting that since the mayor said it's not true I'm done with the conversation since all you do is repeat the same thing over and over again anyway.

Just to clarify, the Cubs are not hosting a viewing party at Wrigley

Either teams should really think about who gets access to team Twitter accounts or people should use their head before using a team Twitter instead of their own.

I'll believe Lovullo is back when the first game is played in April. Guy is going to get a manager's offer somewhere.

Lovullo waived his right to pursue managerial jobs in 2016. Likely takes over Sox if they get off to slow start.

Recently signed new deal over the past couple days is what it sounds like. Seems to set up perfectly for a manager in waiting situation.

I personally want to Tek get the manager's job. And I figured he would have been the next in line. I think he will get a job somewhere and take it. Especially with how well former MLB catchers are doing as managers.

I think it would've been very callous of the Sox organization if they let Farrell go but you bet your butt he's on a very short leash to start the year in 2016. Lovullo will definitely be the next in line should Farrell falter.

I think that the only reason Farrell is staying is for 2 reasons. One he just signed a 4 year extension before this season and the other is the bout with cancer. I hate to say because it sounds so wrong. But imagine if the backlash the Red Sox would get if they fired him after this season. Even though he is a horrendous manager that somehow lucked his way into a WS championship.

I really hope his replacement doesn't suck.

Donatangelo has been there the whole time I've been a Red Sox fan.

From what I have heard (coming from Tony Massarotti), Dave O'Brien is a great baseball mind and COULD be better than Don. And I am in the same boat. I don't really remember anyone before Don. I remember McDonough a little. Like when I heard him on ESPN I recognized his voice but could never think of where I heard it from.
