He looks almost like a bobblehead or one of those statuettes you get as a giveaway promotion.

Ernesto Frieri is just horrific. Damn. ERA in the 7's with the Pirates.

Anyone know who the Giants gave up to get Peavy? It just says Minor League Pitchers so I'm guessing they will be players to be named later.

Actually, they have now said it will be Heath Hembree and Edwin Escobar to Boston.

He's probably a lot healthier here than he was 300+.

Probably, but on the outside he looks emaciated.

In former MLB'er news, Chuck Knoblauch was arrested for assaulting his ex-wife:

Former Minnesota Twins star Chuck Knoblauch was arrested Wednesday night on charges that he allegedly assaulted his ex-wife, KHOU.com reported.

If he had tried to throw something at her he would have missed though.

Yeah, Twins cancelled a ceremony they were going to hold for him

Some GMs turn aggressive when their jobs seemingly are at stake. Zduriencik, on the other hand, baffles rival executives with his inability to close deals.

“He has made offers and then pulled back after we have said, ‘This is something we would do,”’ one executive said. “He responds (by saying) it wasn’t an offer and that he will need to discuss it with his guys.”

Another executive added, “I don’t always get the sense that he knows what he wants to do. One day, he’s interested in one thing. The next day, he’s interested in another. That’s what makes it challenging.”

A third executive said, “They (the Mariners) don’t set out on a trade saying, ‘Here’s what we need. Let’s do what we can to get him.’ They think, ‘Who can we give up that will never be any good?’ They don’t want to give up anyone who will haunt them. That’s just flat-out fear.”

                              Crazy story... http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/11...itches-100-mph

Kid had an 8+ ERA at the San Francisco Academy of Art.. which is mind-boggling considering that's D2 and he throws 100 mph.

Must have no movement or control, or maybe no other pitches. Good luck to him though, would be a cool story
