Setting lineups and making in-game substitutions.

Without anything riding on the game anymore, maybe managers are more likely to pick their own guys? Only reason I can think of to take the responsibility away from the managers.

According to Jon Paul Morosi the commissioner's office and managers were already talking heavily about reserves the last few years. This is just a way to streamline it where it would all be handled by the league office.

The BBWAA shouldn't count for, like, anything.

I think we should let Vin Scully decide who gets in. Then he can pick a successor to carry on his work. This is the only reasonable system.

I read an interesting part of the new CBA; any player who is on a drug suspension WILL NOT accrue service time while serving the suspension. That's a good change, IMO.

So let's say Bryce Harper, who's service time is 4.159, gets popped for PEDs and gets suspended 80 games. When he comes back, his service time will still be at 4.159, thus pushing his free agent date back 80 days?

Also, Braves president John Schuerholz also elected to the Hall, first GM to win a World Series in both leagues.

So one of the new "rules" of the new CBA is that players meal money on the road is dropping from $105 to $30 per day.

Haha reminds me when I played ball in college we would get like $15 in meal money for road games LOL.

I think I might head to Ohio in August for the Ohio Cup. Born in Cincinnati, and haven't been back in over 20 years.
