I don't really see the difference between those and today's. They're all bad.Comment

Some more blatant than others, just be done with it. Management seems to be doing it by phases instead of all at once. 2 years from now they'll announce that the chief won't be on the sleeves anymore or something like that.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

Either way, the best thing to do is to get rid of it completely. I have a feeling that by 2020 the logo will be scrubbed clean from all aspects of the team.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Sucks to see them phasing out that logo. I know the reason why they're doing it, but that logo is abit nostalgic for me. It was actually the first ever MLB logo I ever knew. I remember playing an old computer game and all I had back then was the demo of it, and Cleveland was one of the teams you could select.
But if they're getting rid of it, can they at least bring in a better logo than the letter C? Who makes logos in Cleveland anyways? Browns is just a helmet, Cavs primary is nice, but their alternate is just a fancy C as well, and the Indians now is just using that "Block C" logo.
If they want to get rid of the logo then fine, but at least provide a suitable replacement for it. Any group bringing up anything controversial about a team/logo and reasons to change it, at least provide them with a suitable replacement. Having visual aids of what the team can switch to instead of just being like "get rid of your current look", might actually be a benefit for that group. If fans see the proposed new look and like it better than the current one, then ownership might be less hesitant to give up that look since they know the fans will like the new one even better.Last edited by Majingir; 12-14-2016, 04:56 PM.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
If the Indians need help with how to move forward with a new logo, they need to get in contact with the designer for the Spokane Indians. The team worked with the local tribe on the package, and they have a nice set. They even have alternates that has the "Spokane" wordmark in the local language.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

The two identifying names for them are the Cleveland Indians. They clearly don't want a picture of an Indian at all so it has to be related to Cleveland.
Can't exactly throw a picture of a random thing on the hat for Cleveland Indians.Comment

Looking at it this way, it would take some serious convincing:
That's not to say many parks have a distinguished charm looking this way, but the two decks only is kind of ugly (plus the announcers' booths up top). Just my personal opinion, but I think the park would probably look better with green seats too.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

What alternative do they have? A picture of the city of Cleveland?

At very least, if they can't use the chief wahoo logo, can they do something like the feather and a baseball with Cleveland Indians script over it or something?
Just some quick ones I found on google(simple tweaks to their current C logo, but still better than it just being the letter C. At least in first pic, you have the C which also makes an I, and has feathers in it too. And the second pic, the feather makes up the I)

They're getting rid of the logo and that's all that matters to the people who whined about it. Another victory for them and encouragement for other endeavors. Nevermind anything unique to be an identifier of a professional sports franchise. Just letters will do. And colors will do. And circle logos will do. And Initials + Jersey Number nicknames will do. And every team can just do Seven Nation Army chants just to keep it all uniform. Make everyone feel good and happy.
Then they bitch about sports being too bland or boring and cookie-cutter and safe and no personality or identity showing. Well of course if this is the type of **** you go after. Stupid.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 12-15-2016, 04:56 AM.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
What next? The Boston Celtics logo offending the Irish community? Sounds absurd, but it wouldn't surprise me in this overly sensitive world we live in.
