    Ouch.
If I'm the owner I write him the check anyway…he earned it.

He was originally suspended a couple of months ago, I think, for allegedly yelling profanities at an umpire while coaching a youth baseball game. Not sure when it turned to being fired, though.

Ya, I remember that…just didn't realize they had terminated him. I went and read up on it more and if what I read was true then I think MLBN was in the wrong. They tried to make it a condition of his employment that he couldn't attend any more of his 5 kids sporting events…when he refused to sign it they fired him. I wouldn't sign that either!

Now only if Harold Reynolds could get fired I'd be all set.

Yep, if that's true than Mitch is getting paid. I can't see how MLB-N or any employer for that matter having the ability to say you can't go to your kids' sporting events. That's taking things too far.

Did Phil Hughes just stick it to the man in the most professional way ever?

Although I guess he won't be getting his 500K... ?

I've heard a lot of guys say this over the last few days and i'm inclined to believe it, Derek Jeter is our generation's Joe Dimaggio.
