I've never heard or seen this word in my life until today.

People usually experience this stuff in a college philosophy/existentialism class that they must take to satisfy their core requirements. Grab some Nietzsche, Sartre, or Kierkegaard and put it on your Kindle, lol. Some of the densest reading you'll find. Or, my personal favorite of the genre, and more of a story than a philosophical exposition, Camus' The Stranger. Read in French if you are able; it really makes it sound more trippy.

Basically, nihilism is how a beta tends to view his/her life. Ennui, anything goes because nothing matters. Or do some things actually matter? Yadda yadda yadda.

It's not a common word but it's one i've heard used about a certain chieftan "cough cough read between the lines cough" but yeah, it's not even a word I use very often either.

Anywho, to keep this to baseball off-topic, while I still think he's a bit off his rocker at times I'm starting to gain an appreciation of Billy Ripken on MLB-N. The guy is probably the most plain spoken of the analysts on that network.

To make make the Yordano case even worse...it is being reported that after the crash he was alive and while he was lying on the ground he was robbed, and was left for dead.

Say what you want about why he has turned a new leaf since retirement (to me it's been since 2005, but no matter)... but the fact of the matter is, he has.

Personally, hopefully enough apologies lands him in the HOF.
