Re: MLB Off-Topic
We've discussed it at nasuem but I don't see expansion viable with how low Tampa's crowds are...I don't forsee them moving to Montreal (or anywhere) for that matter either.
The only team that it makes sense with is Oakland given their situation. Even so, I doubt that'll happen being they'll be the primary sports team actually in Oakland soon (which I would think is a draw?).OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

If Rays left Tampa, then Marlins become Florida's team. Don't think that'd hurt the baseball market there at all. And with new ownership coming for Marlins, they'd have big opportunity to really market themselves as such.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I think As leaving Oakland has the bigger impact over Rays leaving Tampa. I don't get why sports leagues are so insistent on multiple teams in Florida. Outside of NBA, don't all other leagues have a Florida team struggling? NHL with Panthers, MLB with Rays, NFL with Jaguars.

The mitigating factor is that it's probably in the top 5 oldest states. Not exactly conducive to cultivating a long term fanbase.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Though speaking of NY, Im confused how they have multiple teams in all sports but seems like it talks happen of any other city in any sport getting 2 teams in the same or similar area, owners can block it for regional reasons. Not that NY doesn't support two teams, I just don't see how they're allowed to but others can't.Comment

New topic:
You can go to any ballgame in the history of MLB (past, present or even future)...what would it be and where would you sit?
I would love to have been sitting directly behind home plate on game 7 of the 1992 NLCS.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
But those states can sustain multiple teams. Like I mentioned, almost all leagues have a team in Florida struggling. You don't hear that happening in Texas or ny or California to that extent.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Personally, because every Giants WS victory of recent has been on the road, I guess I could say something like Bonds hitting 756. Though I was there for 755 in San Diego, and 73 of the 2001 season.
I'd really have to think about this one for a long time. I'd have to sit and think about what the most magical moment for me to have said was experience-worthy (even if I saw it on TV or its highlights). I could think more about something like a certain perfect game, or an amazing comeback. I guess what TC9 said works for me.
Future? That's a tough question. I'd love to see the Giants play the Red Sox in the World Series and see a game at Fenway.
EDIT: It's not that I mind seeing the Giants take a WS on the road, but it's not quite as magical and the only close final game win was Game 7 against the Royals (their third WS win, so perhaps less impacting). The Cubs-Indians WS Game 7 was also fantastic, as was the Yankees-Diamondbacks Game 7 in 2001. I just don't know which to choose.Last edited by Blzer; 05-14-2017, 09:59 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

You just set up every Cubs fan in the world to say 2003 NLCS Game 6 (Bartman's seat).

I would have naturally said either Game 7 back in November or Game 5 to be in that environment when they HAD to have a win and got it. But that Bartman game is definitely fighting for the top spot too STILL lol

Biasedly I'd say 93WS gm6. Maybe LF, but I doubt I'd catch the ball, and just missing it would haunt me forever.Comment
