They might, but would Philly or Atlanta care? And would Expos fans go down to Philly or Atlanta for games?

Boston, you'll for sure have Expos fans there, and Boston-Montreal hockey rivalry spilling over into baseball. And no need to explain Toronto-Montreal rivalry we'd have too. Yankees probably become rivals too because they're the Yankees.

I'd actually be a fan of their team too if they return. Won't be Jays level of liking them, but they'd be #2. Would love watching another team playing.

Weren't the Marlins a second away from being sold as well?

They have to be the model for cursed franchises.

Have a hard time generating interest. Win few games.

But get a new ballpark and win a title or two every decade.

I'm more disturbed by Byrnes hairdo. Has he checked his birth certificate lately?

Not just his hair, have you seen the clothes he wears and how he "styles" them? He wears his clothes like he's a teenager. It's a bit offputting.

It essentially covers every popular young player and some of the storylines you'll hear all summer.

Baseball has needed to focus on its players for a long while now. I agree with Matrix, it's hokey but I'll take hokey over, "watch Yankees vs Red Sox and forget about everything else!"

                        Totally agree.
Baseball players are hard to market because they don't succeed every game like in the NBA or NFL.
But you still need to make an effort to put those names and faces out there.

                        I love that commercial.

It's hokey but it does the job well of marketing the young players. This is something MLB has been pretty bad at doing so it's good to see them putting the spotlight on the future.

As a Canadian it always sucks that 99% of the time there's not even a mention of a Blue Jay in these kind of commercials. I get it, I really do but it still makes me cranky LOL! I gotta say it hurt my heart to see Edwin in that commercial.

Even some announcers aren't yet in Opening Day shape. Last night as Chip Caray was talking about Chris Archer and the Rays' rotation, he says:

"Tampa Bay [is] a club that many think is going to be a lot better than most think."

Actually come to think of it, that sounds like him on a good day.
