What punishment is harsh enough to deter the action that caused it without stripping the title? Madoff doesn’t get to keep the money.

I think banning players for life might have that effect.

For example, I said example, Altuve has 145M left on his contract, you ban him, he doesn't get to keep his money.

I don’t think the players are signing contracts that can be voided at will, so I don’t know if they could do anything other than release him and then fight in court to withhold the money. But he didn’t break the law, so on what basis would they be able to withhold his money?

Sure, MLB would fight him under a "moral clause" which every contract includes I suppose (I'm no lawyer). Everyone would go nuclear and MLB would probably lose in court. Most important thing is MLB doesn't want to fight.

MLB just wants this to go away which is why I find puzzling they haven't released the Red Sox. Even if MLB found little to nothing just get it out there so we can put this behind us.

I think that fight would destroy the sport with little to no chance of winning but a part of me would like to see it play out anyway.

could've been worse; he could have suffered a season-ending injury. ‘‘you'll put yer eye out, kid!’’

It's not severe enough. The title should be stripped. Point blank.

They cheated the game. And it literally took players from all over MLB to help the Nationals to identify the bull****. Former players coming out. This is serious stuff.

What if the Yankees or Dodgers or even the other teams had that knowledge on hand to prepare? We don't know. But Houston obviously needed an advantage.

I'll forever question the legitimacy of 2017. The MVP. The playoffs. Everything.

Now I'm waiting for the red Sox fallout. But I won't be bias until I hear credible evidence. Right now everything points to Houston.

Ban the Astros for life. Let them off easy. Whatever ends up happening in the end, we can all agree that Alex Bregman has one of the more punchable faces in the sport.

Can't stand the entire organization. It makes me puke in my mouth that at one point I just believed they were just better then the Yankees and the Dodgers. And I tipped my hat.

                              But they probably never were.

I just think it's funny for Bregman especially because he was acting like the **** of the walk and all. Turns out the big man was getting some help, eh? Pretty sure he's been the most outspoken of the bunch. So, he can have some of the Barry Bonds/A-Rod/Ryan Braun treatment this season.
