It doesn't change anything. He's getting flack for his statement he made considering he knew a month ago he failed a test and had time to make a better statement I guess.

But even in the story, Steinbrenner actively looked for dirt on Winfield, but there was truth to the claims Winfield wasn't exactly using his money in a appropriate way.

Don't get me wrong, that was sneaky and low. But, it takes a really depraved mind to frame a player, and get him kicked out of the league, because a owner wanted to get out of a contract.

I mean, that's really going over the edge, not saying that's impossible, but incredibly unlikely.

The year before in 95, the Cubs beat the Rockies 26-7.

The possibility of the Oakland Athletics relocating to Las Vegas could soon become a reality.

Also, did anyone catch John Lackey and Chris Bosio accusing Eric Thames of using roids?

Eh, to say it could soon become a reality is a bit misleading.

The main of the story is to say that LV is a viable relocation site. Could be the A's, the Rays (more likely than the A's) or through expansion.

Not really, they've been talking about the A's coming here for years (this isn't anything new here) and with the Raiders and Golden Knights it could soon become a reality. There is a good following of A's fans here too so some have actually got the ball rolling. I honestly could care less if it's the A's or Rays as long as we get a team I'll be happy. There are some behind teh scenes things going on here that people don't know about.

The A's actually played some regular season games at Cashman Field a while back so they have links to Las Vegas.

Oh I know they've talked about the A's going there for years, as well as Sacramento, San Antonio and many other locations.

Now that the Raider's have moved out though it's far more likely the A's stay in Oakland.

Lol, just saw the edit. That was in the 90's when they played there after the Raiders moved back to Oakland and mount Davis was put up so the Colosseum wasn't ready for the start of the season. That is in no way shape or form a sign that they will move there 20 years later. They did that primarily to keep them in the time zone and that was their best option at the time if I remember correctly.

Doesn't really matter. The A's just announced this.

Sure it was 20 years ago, but the talk of the A's coming here never stopped and with LV getting 2 Pro franchises the talked ramped up recently. Either way man LV will get a baseball team weather it be through relocation or expansion. It'll happen quicker than most people think.
