Kevin Maas is another one I think of when I hear Bob Hamelin for some reason.

I know we have a few Yankees fans on this site so here's a long form piece by Sportsnet's Jeff Blair about the rebuild of the Yankees. When it comes down to brass tacks Blair can churn out some good pieces when he feels like it.

MLB.com still sucks with videos. Some stay dark on Chrome (i.e., don't play). And their order of presented replays still suck too. Show the overall recap first, instead of out of order highlighted plays from throughout the game. Someone gets paid to manage that site? Stealing from the company.

            Yes, I emailed them.

Looks like deal is all but done for Jeter/Bush to buy the Marlins.

Now if only Rays could move and let Marlins be Florida's team.

Hopefully with Jeter running the show there the Marlins can actually become a truly credible franchise.

Here's an interesting site I discovered just now as I was looking up stuff about Devon Travis' obstruction call last night. (They say the umpires were right to call him out on it)

I was having a conversation with somebody about this earlier:

Does anyone know any MLB position players that are strictly left-handed throwers and right-handed batters, with no switch-hitting past whatsoever?

I am certain they exist or have existed, but I keep drawing blanks. Any prolific hitters, at least?

I guess I was trying hard to think about present players, not to mention I was thinking about first basemen more than anything else.
