      Re: MLB Off-Topic

Didn't want to start a new thread for this but looking for a bit of feedback since I'm keeping up with rosters for the MVP game at least into this next season.

Looking for feedback on MLB pitchers who can run well. I'm not looking to do anything ultra-specific, but unfortunately pitchers are not included in the present StatCast sprint speed page (which is pretty interesting): https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/sprint_speed_leaderboard

IA bit of feedback from reddit for fast pitchers are: Joe Kelly, Stroman, Travis Wood, Edwin Jackson, Arrieta, Chapman, Carlos Torres, DeGrom, Samardzija, Clay Buchholz (though that may have changed).

Just got a new Giants hat for Christmas, and the logo is riding kind of high. Are all of the New Era hats like that now, or is this just maybe an anomaly?

Is it a low profile, or regular?

Ahh, that might explain it. It might be low profile. I'll have to check that out. It does look a lot smaller to, so...

EDIT: Well, this is the link that I sent out when I was referring to the hat I was looking at, which just seems like the regular one to me: https://www.lids.com/san-francisco-g...y-cap/20905591

Last night MLB Network had a replay of Game 7 of the WS...as I was watching, I realized the announcers were different. It was Vasgergian and Dave Campbell, so I'm not sure if this was the radio broadcast or what, but as much as I like Smoltz, this duo was infinitely better than Buck/Smoltz.

Actually Buck Martinez was the color guy. That was the MLB International feed of the game that you saw.

Wow...that was Martinez? He sounds JUST like Soup to me...love his voice. I haven't heard Campbell in years, so I was surprised to hear what I thought was him...

Not the kind of activity I am looking for from the Hot Stove. I hope this turns out to be not true, but I honestly don't know how anyone can know for sure. If I read it correctly, it's going to be a he said, she said situation.

                        UGH!

I hope that's not true but the way it's turning out these days with anyone involved in sexual type crimes they become toxic immediately and it's almost as if they're guilty until proven innocent.

At what point do we look at some of these as money grabs? Not saying it's not true, but you're telling me someone at the mall didn't see or say anything to a big dude forcefully dragging a woman against her will?

Am I the only one who goes on MLB.tv in December and scroll through the schedule, choose a game that looks interesting, and watch it? I am missing some baseball...

Some of this #MeToo phenomenon is undoubtedly a money grab, but each allegation has to be taken on its own. Maybe it happened and maybe it didn't. Ultimately it's on the woman to make a credible case and it's on Sano and his lawyer to knock that case down. It's unfortunate that there are so many dickhead guys out there that give all guys a bad name and it's unfortunate there are so many unscrupulous, gold-digging women out there that drag innocent people's names through the dirt to make a quick buck.

In this particular case, the woman stated that she fought off Miguel Sano (6'4" 260 lbs) for "10 solid minutes" until he "gave up." That strikes me as highly unlikely. I know there's something to be said for adrenaline, but if Sano wanted her in the bathroom, he could've hauled her into the bathroom quickly. She also said that Sano's agent and her former boss were both present, which sort of implies they let him do that? As witnesses they should be able to corroborate or refute her allegations.
