I don't see the issue. 7 of them came in the first.

Doesn't Maddon bat the pitcher 8th or does he not do that anymore?

The 9 and 1 guys need to get on. If you bat Bryant lower, who bats 2nd that suddenly will get on base?

Seems like that's fallen out of favor somewhat.

That they are lying about his playing weight?

At least for later in his career, most definitely. I could buy 80's Barry being a buck eight-five.

When he first came up he was a buck eighty soaking wet...so that number is maybe even a bit high for young Bonds. By the mid-1990's and beyond, he was over 200 every year I'd wager.

I do wonder what BBR uses as a player's listed weight...I'm guessing rookie weight based on that page.

Not sure if it's been posted or not....

But the Giants are retiring Barry Bonds's number 25 in August against the Pirates.

Seemed appropriate to bring this up shockingly for the first time with him coming up in conversation.

Wait...this August? What day? Man, they should really publicize these things ahead of time.

Read the Rays are closing in on a new TV Deal with FSN. For a team that has pathetic attendance, they sure do draw an impressive local tv rating.

I just wish I could remember when in August. If only he had hit 811 HR instead of merely 762.

Yeah, misfire by the Giants. They def should've retired his number July 62nd.

I was looking at Matt Kemp's FanGraphs page and it's pretty damn depressing. In 2011, he was widely considered not only the best all around player in baseball, but the most valuable for building a team into the future. Fast forward to 2018 and he's sitting at 22.8 WAR for his entire career. In hindsight, that 2011 season seems like a total mirage. He has amassed 1.6 WAR total in the past 5 years combined. His 8 year $160MM contract signed after 2011 will go down as among the worst ever.

Was that around the time he turned into Fat Kemp?

I actually have a customer in Tampa, and he said the main beef with fans with the stadium is it’s location. It requires most fans to cross a bridge, and it is a traffic nightmare. He said it is a major reason he just watches at home. That and it is dim-lit bubble.
