This is probably what the jersey will look like.

Oh, I thought the A's were going to wear this jersey in protest until they get a new stadium.

So I saw the '90s Braves documentary (not one of MLB-N's better docs IMO) but I did learn that Barry Bonds could've been a Brave in '92. That would've been INTERESTING.

Ya...I learned that 10 years ago or so when Schuerholz wrote his book "Built to Win". In there he wrote how the deal was done...they had the agreement and he was getting ready to announce it. He mentions that if they had gotten Bonds, they wouldn't have pursued Maddux in FA that year, so I'm kind of glad the deal fell through.

Funny enough, he's actually having his number retired this year against a team that is on the Braves schedule, the Pittsburgh Pirates.

                On August 11th.

I believe it's Barry Bonds. But I'll double check my sources.

EDIT: It is in fact Barry Bonds (literally the same one that almost played for the Braves in 1992) that is having his number 25 retired August 11th against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Diamondbacks will be using a humidor this year.

According to a report, the Diamondbacks will use a humidor to store baseballs in 2018. Will it reduce offense too much in Arizona?

Aw man, and here I was hoping Colorado would someday get rid of the humidor.
Sources: While MLB was hopeful to have pace-of-play negotiations wrapped up by today, MLB could unilaterally impose new rules. No drop-dead date has been set yet, but it's coming.
I had actually forgotten all about this until Brian Kenny and Chris Russo were talking about it on MLBN the other day. Russo was saying he thought Manfred was holding off because he didn't want to make the rift between the owners and players bigger than it already is right now. But looks like we're going there anyway. I'm just wondering how long they're going to wait, if they're going to impose the rules unilaterally, end the negotiations. What's the point?

Once again Russo is off his rocker. The pace of play stuff has nothing to do with what's going on vis a vis free agency. Manfred has stated that he wants to negotiate these pace of play rules BUT if it can't be done he would do so unilaterally. (i'm going to guess early March so it can be used a bit in ST) Manfred has been slow to impose the rules unilaterally because he prefers it to be done in concert with the union rather than forcing it upon the players.
