Has to be Darryl Strawberry and Howard Johnson of the 87 Mets.

Darryl had 39 Hrs that season and I think Howard Johnson hit 35 or 36.

Correct on the names. Funny that the "lesser known guy," Howard Johnson, accomplished 30-30 3 times, which is more than anyone except Soriano, Bonds, and Bonds.

My next (and final) clue was gonna be one has the last name of a fruit and the other has a namesake hotel chain.

Since we are on trivia questions.

Anyone know the only player to get a combined 30 30 season in both leagues?

I'm gonna recuse myself from this one because I've spent the past hour looking at the 30-30 Wiki page. lol

Baseball trivia before 1991 is difficult for me.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Can be difficult for me at times, but luckily as a kid I collected trading cards (that I still have to this day) and I got my grandfather's card collection when he passed, so it helps. Plus I played sports and kept up with all sports watching ESPN as a kid so I'm not totally in the dark when it comes to these things.

Mine started with Hardball 6. Used to love playing with Cleveland in that game.

Then you should have no difficulty with ShowTyme's current question...

Going back to the teammates question, I didn't know HoJo had THREE 30/30 seasons. That's pretty neat for a guy who was known as a power threat for most of his career. His body type never really made me think of him as a base stealer though.

As for the current question on the table hm I dunno.

I'm a bit confused on the question; is it a player who registered a 30-30 season and played for an NL and AL team in that season (IOW, traded in the middle of said 30-30 season) or is it a player who registered a 30-30 season for an NL team and then later an AL team?
