The go-to guys of old to start out with are both Bonds', Mays, Dawson, and Henderson (because of their career totals in those departments, but I don't know if Rickey ever had a 30 HR season), and if you recall even Canseco had a 40/40 season.

I do not know the answer to this though, and wouldn't know where to begin. I'm guessing they're not active players, but I could be wrong there as well. If it's anything pre-95, I'll likely be S.O.L. on the second player anyway.

EDIT: Well I'm reading above that it's the same era, so who did Bonds play with? Van Slyke is the only guy I really know of outside of Bonilla from that Pirates team. Maybe have to look to Dawson, Canseco or Henderson then.

It's an interesting answer. Might take some time to get it.

I think the toughest part is although both are considered versatile and very good players, neither one was ever known for speed as their "carrying tool."

Here's another vague clue. It was the first year that more than one player had a 30-30 season.

Full disclosure, I don't think I ever even heard of Teammate B.

I mean, I probably have heard the name, but I have no knowledge of anything else that he did.

Yeah, one has more name recognition, but if you were around during this time you definitely would've known both players. Both multi-time All Stars.

Interestingly, there's only been 4 total 40-40 seasons, the most recent being Alfonso Soriano in 2006.

Okay so I had to cheat to see what year Canseco got his 40-40 season, because I know he was the first.

I won't know the answer still, but at least I have a reference point now.
