Someone on the Yankees sub posted about this and it sounds possible but I'm not sure how service time accrues:

Could the Yankees send Andujar down for 3 weeks or whatever and get another year of control? Or does the Union have something in place to stop this from happening? We've obviously seen it with minor league players but I can't remember if any major league player has been sent down for it.

Even if that was possible I think the PA would have a huge snit over that. They're already complaining about service time manipulation as it is. This would be further proof of it.

The Yankees could. He has options. They couldn't be stopped from doing so and saying he needs time down to work on his defense.

Never realized how wild Trevor Bauer is till now.

I’m pretty much on Bauer’s side on this one.

Nah Trevor Bauer is an ******* and no one should be supporting his attitude. This isn't the first time he's acted like a child for no reason at all.

This is the sort of behaviour you probably expect from a guy who sent his teammates a questionnaire asking why they didn't like him tbh.

Yeeeeeah....Um, Bauer took things way too far. He's a frickin' professional baseball player. Don't go creeping through someone's twitter past and try to make yourself out to be so much better. This is just creepy beyond words.

IDK...for some reason, I found it entertaining especially after the Josh Hader stuff in the ASG. I won't argue that Bauer was stupid for doing it but it was fun to read nonetheless.

I don’t really think she can scream harassment and play the victim though. While his original response wasn’t really needed I don’t really see the big problem with it.

I mean if you are going to respond with “Unfortunately I don’t think a professional athlete that tweets like a 16 year girl on her period has a fan club :/“, that’s just asking for an argument. She didn’t really need to reply either.

And would it really be creepy if it was your average person who did it? On social media using people’s past posts against them seems like a common enough tactic nowadays whether you like it or not.

I don’t agree with the narrative that Bauer is the villain here attacking a poor girl that’s completely innocent. Both could’ve let it go and moved on. She continued it as well and provoked him with comments before he did it.

I’m pretty sure Bauer said that she’s 21 when others said she was like 17 or something, so if that’s true they are both adults here. Both could’ve had the maturity to let it go before it reached that point. I don’t see a victim here. If she’s a minor and not in her 20’s then that would change things.

MLB teams combined to spend $4.23 billion on payroll during the 2018 season -- a decrease of $18 million from 2017 and the league's first decrease since 2010.

The luxury tax has had some major ramifications. The next CBA looks like it's going to be a tough negotiation. Something needs to be done about the financial structure of the game. A strike would suck, but it wouldn't surprise me.

                                .
Yeah this is a problem. What's happening here is you're letting these sort of people move the needle on what makes someone a decent human being.

It isn't any better if it was a regular person. It's just as creepy and childish. Saying that people do this sort of thing all the time is a really bad way to excuse bad behavior.

I saw a similar comment on Reddit. Someone made some stupid inappropriate comment and got called out on it by a mod. And the guy tried to argue back that it's just regular online banter and this isn't the fifth grade where we need a teacher monitoring speech.

That's...I don't want to say dangerous but it's not good. We shouldn't be normalizing this stuff.
