No wonder the Mets held on to him. There's no way they would've got anything close to fair value in return.

Mets have scored two runs in his last 13 innings of work. Both were driving in by himself.

8-8 with a 1.68 ERA. That is just egregiously bad on the Mets.

If he doesn't win Cy Young, then voting is a joke. W/L should mean absolutely nothing to judging a starters performance.

Even more advanced stats on deGrom:
                -ERA BELOW 1 in wins
                -ERA of 2.73 in losses
-Allowed 4 runs this season just ONCE
-Hasn't allowed more than 3 runs at home since September 5 2017.
-Brewers are only non NL East team to score 4+ runs against deGrom in New York in his entire MLB career.

For comparison, he has a better ERA in losses than 3 teams in the league have in games they won.

Interstingly enough. Nola has a higher WAR.

deGrom is overrated. An ace needs to win ballgames.

Lol, I miss Sunday night baseball with Miller and Morgan. The hatred for Morgan was hilarious to me. But It was also great because back then we could not watch literally any game we wanted every day. Made it an actual showcase game. I am not nostalgic about much, but chill Sundays evenings in the 1990s with baseball was fun.
