We just see it different. That's fine. They don't ruin my day or anything, but I am against them. Helmets having ads on them? Please no. If this is the sacrifice we must make to keep the DH away from the NL then I'll change my tune.

I'm glad you're ok with me having a differing opinion.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

We'll get both and be told it's no big deal.

I watch a lot of old games (all the way back to the 1940s) and the ads were crazy then. Every inning was sponsored by some other product, the outfield walls were covered in ads like today, etc. None of this is new...

The ads on the nba jerseys look fine to me. And I was against that till I saw it in person. And there's a few that I think actually compliment the uniform pretty well.

So I wouldn't mind that on MLB uniforms. As long as they never look like the soccer uniforms or the euro teams. Those look awful.

I hope they put a Viagra patch on the Braves uniform so we can hear Matrix thoughts though[emoji1787]

Not crazy about mlb games looking and sounding like NASCAR, but when Boston and the Yanks played in London, it didnt really bother me like I thought it might. I think after 4 or 5 years I probably wont notice as much and I think a lot of advertisers are going to wind up realising they're wasting $

Of course, everyone will always view things differently. Some people just misread my posts and think I must believe I am always right. That's their loss for assuming that, but I always respect that others will have differing opinions. That's neither here nor there, though.

As for what Matrix said, you are probably right, unfortunately. I wouldn't be surprised to see it even happen under Manfred. He seems dead set on being the worst MLB commissioner and ruining the game. Juicing the baseballs and denying, bringing in even more corporate nonsense. The DH will be here to ruin NL baseball before we know it.

                  Re: MLB Off-Topic

Not sure if other teams do it, but Jays network digitally places ads on the field. Its abit forced when they switch to a 1B or 3B camera shot if a guys on base in order to show the ad.

And have one added in CF also, despite already having other ads on the wall.

Seems like a workaround possible MLB rules in terms of actual ads on the field?

That sounds absolutely terrible. Maybe they can replace the A at Suntrust Park with an advertisement.

Well what do you think is gonna happen once this is standardized? When have you ever seen anyone just take the inch and not the mile?

You're not wrong. It could be a slippery slope. I just thought the nba did it pretty well and I barely notice it.

If they made it more imposing. I'd be totally against it.

Wait till they green screen the entire court or cover the outfield grass in an ad.

That's going to blow everyone's mind.

Don't be surprised when the dirt behind the pitchers mound becomes an advertising spot.

I would like to see what type of resin bag designs we can get with sponsors.
