    Re: MLB Off-Topic

Until there's undeniable truth that other teams were doing the same things the Astros were. I'm not giving it any merit. I'm not naive enough to think there aren't other teams doing it.

But the Astros are at the forefront of all of this right now.

The one I’m reading only says they decoded signs.

        Hahaha at the Pat down

This what I think happened. I think everyone started with the trash cans earlier in the season. When crowds aren't that big loud during the season. But as the season went on they started having trouble hearing the trash cans. Added whistles... And then buzzers later or as the last thing (for the playoffs). But only the big guys had the buzzers like you said.

Has anybody seen this. The bottom part especially. Yikes.

That's Scott Brosius's son. Could be bull****. But I thought I'd share.

The only problem with that is that Brosius wasn't named third base coach until 2018.

Haven't seen evidence that everyone was doing it, but I also haven't spiked the football with this scandal (as a Dodgers fan) knowing it's totally possible the Dodgers had this kind of system in place as well.

The brazenness of this whole thing is striking to me. The Astros were never going to permanently keep this under wraps, yet they did it anyway. Of course, given they won a title and only got a slap on the wrist - a fine worth a journeyman's salary, loss of draft lotto tickets, and an easily replaceable manager - who's to say it wasn't worth it in the end?

Yep Manny Acta was the 3B coach in 17. Also that account has seemingly been deleted or never existed so there's that as well.

                    Beltran doesn't have a niece.

That said, I am not willing to dismiss the tweets even though we know that isn't his niece.

In my eyes, it's because they were smarmy pricks about it whenever questioned and have had this now seemingly undue reputation fluffing them up for years.
