Report: Apparently during Indians fan fest Kenny Lofton and Nick Swisher had a dust up and got in each other's faces. All because of some comments Lofton made around playoff time last year. Most of the Indians players have ignored Lofton during his visit to Goodyear Ball Park.

What exactly did Lofton say that has all the players being jerks to him? If it's personal in nature than I could possibly see it but if it's honest critiques than these players need to grow thicker skin.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I agree with you, and I too understand why some people were mad. Shouldn't have been that serious though IMO.Comment

Really? I've had a hard time finding the 'normal' non-fantasy mags this year…all I see is fantasy baseball this, fantasy baseball that."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

re: MLB Off-Topic
I think this is true though an element of luck has to account for some of the success as well as a willingness to really invest in scouting and such. A good example of luck being needed is what happened with the A's after the first flush of the "Moneyball" era where the team's performance went down a bit but now over the last couple years it seems like Billy Beane's found the right players. The Mets in the mid '90s really invested in finding young pitchers and they flamed out. etc etc.
in the end though once an organization finds success with scouting and finding young talent the gravy train usually lasts a good long time.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
