I'm late to replying but I really enjoyed the article. Especially interesting since that is part of my job.

That is an awesome map. My county in Nebraska is even with Cubs and Yankees. Great find.

I'm abit surprised Jays never even made top 3 in northern USA cause many times it seems like when they play in Seattle or something, there's huge amount of Jays fans at those games.

I'm sure most of those Red Sox/Yankees fans in all those other states are just bandwagon fans.

You would be wrong. While both have their of bandwagon fawns, you strongly underestimate just how big a deal both are in that part of the United States.

I won't get in on the Yanks/Red Sox thing except to agree with Areobee that those two teams are HUGE in that part of the US.

As for the Jays I think it's a little skewed. A lot of those fans that go to games in Seattle and Minnesota are from Canada. I know a lot of people from Saskatchewan make the drive down to Target Field and same goes for people in Vancouver going to Safeco.

I'm not talking about eastern USA with Red Sox/Yankees fans, I mean like all other parts of the country, even in Alaska/Hawaii.

                  Also...this is sad/pathetic:

Before the Rangers came to Texas, St Louis and the Yankees were the main teams in DFW.

I lived in Alaska for 3 years and while they show Seattle games, Seattle isn't the popular teams. Not even for football. Lots and lots of Cowboy fans.

I have no clue how a grown man can do that and act as if he did nothing wrong.
