I would hope so...unfortunately ESPN will likely follow him and it wouldn't surprise me if they air his "debut" game or something like that.

This. I don't know anybody who would go to a game just because Tebow is playing.

Maybe if the Mets have minor league teams down in SEC country.

Figures Tebow would go to the St. Lucie Mets, the team literally ten minutes away from my house. The media circus should be fun, wonder if I'll see him shopping .

What's more likely? An 80 year old woman actively searching for Tim Tebow news or an 80 year old woman seeing Tebow on TV and deciding it's interesting?

Media vs people is chicken and egg.

The Blue Jays may be choking their way out of the playoffs right now but look what the cat dragged in.....

Former Red Sox GM Ben Cherington on the verge of becoming Blue Jays VP of Baseball Operations

This is a pretty significant hire IMO though it probably means the last stalwarts of the last two regimes are going to be swept out of Rogers Centre.

Give it until before the start of next season before I'm saying this about Cherrington and the Jays.

Watching Peter Chiarelli destroy someone else's franchise is far more entertaining than watching him gut your own. Sorry @EdmontonOilers

Meh, at least Cherington has close ties to Shapiro so i'm sure they'll be working in collaboration. This new front office will have an interesting dynamic. Last offseason was pretty much a placeholder. The real tea leaves to be read regarding the Shapiro/Atkins regime comes this offseason.

Schedule for next year is out. Going to try to make my first ever Wrigley trip when the Yankees go May 5-7.

Diet Theo gets more **** from Sox fans than is deserved. Ownership played a large role in his failures here. Not saying he is an excellent hire or anything, but I won't act like it will destroy the Jays. I personally like the move for them.

Man, the Sox only have 3 games against New York next September.

Might try to go their last Fenway meeting of the season in August.

PrellerGate anybody? Seems pretty odd. Also seems to explain some of the buyer's remorse teams have had with acquiring San Diego players.

Fangraphs has a great interview with Matt Duffy out, talking about the things he thinks about when he's hitting and the things he likes to try to focus on.

They're such a great site man. Every sport needs this.
