Didn't take long for The Worldwide Leader to elevate Tim Tebow stories above all other baseball stories, even with the playoffs raging on. Tim Tebow ate Cheerios this morning...Tim Tebow combed his hair this morning...Tim Tebow dropped a deuce this morning...

I find it really troubling that such a large segment of this country actually cares. I do my part to not click on anything Tebow-related, but apparently this guy is worth his weight in clickbait gold.

        I don't get it either.
He's the sports equivelant to Kim Kardashian.
He was a good college QB, a very poor pro QB and now he's several levels removed from MLB.
Why is this guy so popular?

I've heard nothing but positive things about his character. Even college teammates said that he was the same guy off camera as he was on.
I hate ragging on him because he sounds like a genuinely good person.
I just don't get why everyone is so Tebow crazy when his pro career(s) have been disappointing.

You're kind of proving the reason they talk about him by having this conversation.

Are you saying the reason people talk about him is because people don't understand why people talk about him? If so, then correct. But I give them zero clicks so it's not me making it financially beneficial to them.

It's funny when stories surrounding Bonds with steroids and Tom Brady with Deflategate always had TV and radio personalities start off with saying, "I don't know why we're still talking about this!" and then they proceeded to talk about it thereafter. It's a bit ironic, I suppose.

I've built up a "see no Tebow, hear no Tebow" policy until he makes it to the Majors (if he does)

I mean, I think he's a great guy from everything i've heard. I just don't understand this cult of personality that he's garnered with the media. It's baffling. I mean even when he did some analysis work on CFB he didn't seem THAT great.

                It's just weird to me.

Stop watching ESPN. Change your homepage from ESPN to something else.

I've barely heard a word about that guy.

I do what I can, but their website is still part of my routine when I am looking for boxscore information about MLB and NCAAF games. I hardly ever watch Sportscenter anymore whereas it was sort of a religion back in the 90s. Otherwise I will only watch ESPN when they have a game on. Even in those short bursts, it is tough to avoid the wall-to-wall coverage.

Somehow, without reading espn or watching sport center or having access to any sports on my television, I still have a really good idea what's happening in sports.

I'm actually trying to figure out how that happens. Because no one at work talks about anything but the really major things or the New York teams (and it doesn't go beyond, "eh, see the Knicks lost again?")

I do have OS and Bleacher Report on my phone. And I check it every now and then but not as often as I used to. So I really can't say how.

I kind of have that going on too. I'm not nearly as connected as i used to be but I generally know what's going on in the sports world.

                            It's weird.

Still waiting for a sports website that doesn't have massive videos and images, tucks a line of easily accesible box scores away, etc. I can't even begin to describe how unnecessarily difficult it is now to just get to some in-game stats/plays on a sports website now. It's infuriating. Everything is like 10 clicks away at least and sometimes I have to zoom out on my browser to avoid having one picture or video taking up 80 percent of the space.

I switched to Yahoo from ESPN a few months ago and shortly thereafter they resigned their website into an ugly eyesore piece of **** too.

I hate Web 2.0 or whatever the **** they call it.

I really like The Score app for checking scores/box scores. Much easier to do that on your phone now as opposed to visiting a site.
