Re: MLB Off-Topic
I find it hard to believe he has to check his straps and stretch his face 83x between each pitch to be effective.
Keep a foot in the box.
Limit mound visits and let's move along.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I like how baseball doesn't have time constraints because the game is never freaking over until the last out. You can't run out the clock in baseball, can't dribble it out, I feel like my team is still in it no matter how many runs they're down in the late innings. I've admitted to not being the world's biggest baseball fan before, but the fact it isn't confined to a clock is something I actually enjoy about it
And, as I always say, this contributes to game variance. So many different ways a game can play out.
It doesn't just turn into a free throw contest or a furious 15 point comeback, or a last second field goal or drive down field, etc. Think about how few ways other sports can play out. We've pretty much seen every way other games can end a thousand times already.Comment

It seems like whenever an athlete gets a DUI they are passed out at the wheel. Tony Larussa and Tiger Woods are the other 2 that come to mind, I know there was a few more too I can't remember

I don't know the details (what he was on, etc), but the first thing I thought of was your friend/teammate not died 6 months ago from drinking/driving. At least learn from other's mistakes...Last edited by Sportsforever; 08-30-2017, 10:21 AM."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do.
