I really thought Hinch messed up playing the infield in with a 1-run lead and runners on 2nd and 3rd. I saw that and thought he's greatly increasing the chances that a ball gets through for a single and Bautista coming around to win it. Sure enough, that happened.

7-run (so far) 8th. Our offense seems to finally be clicking.

It's an interesting strategical decision. Do you play back and give up the tying run to try and save the go-ahead run? Do you play halfway in case of a hard hit ball right at someone? Do you play in and try to maintain the lead, but give up more space for a seeing eye single to score the go ahead?

I usually play halfway until 2 strikes, then move the infield in as there's more likely to be weak contact. It's definitely burned me in the past, but we've held the lead as well. I'd say it's about 60/40 effectiveness for holding the lead, but this is at the high school level.

At least the Twins avoided the sweep today. Still, it's the first series they've lost in almost a month. 1 game ahead going into a huge series against KC.

To be fair, the bullpen has been a LOT better. They do need another arm to compliment Osuna in the worst way possible though. Bo Shultz crapped all over the bed today.

                        Yeah, um...that doesn't always work.

Seems like a bit of a panic move with how much i've heard they want to make sure he's 100% ready. Does Correa at least make more contact?

Sadly, even that doesn't work for the Braves.

Edit: Didn't see Speedy's post. He beat me to it.
