Maybe he's pitching a fit on the top of the Space Needle

Seriously, everyone thought the M's would be a playoff team. This is a real disappointment for that fanbase to be certain. I have a feeling that Jack Z and Lloyd McClendon will both be gone at season's end if they don't show any signs of life.

FWIW, Cubs actually played the game under protest from that point on, so it wasn't all gamesmanship IMO (though I will admit a large part of it was). Some of it was apparently a disagreement with the umpire about whether or not he could protest.

Not that the protest will mean anything of course, since they won the game.

And honestly, the 10 minute delay shouldn't really affect the pitcher. You treat it like a rest when your team is hitting. I wasn't paying attention, but I'm sure he could've gotten/did get some warm up pitches before they started back live play.
Yeah, it's one of those, "I totally understand what the opposing manager/coach/team is doing and it's good strategy, but from the vantage point of my favorite team, I don't like it. But if my team were doing it, I would like it."

A 10 minute delay shouldn't affect the pitcher, but Kershaw was pretty pissed off. Not the reason he hung a breaking ball to Kris Bryant though.

Braves made Strasburg work in the 1st inning. 20 pitches/inning won't get you deep into a game. Strasburg throws 97, but on TV I see absolutely no movement, so it kind of nullifies that velocity to a degree.

And Wood is already hanging pitches in the 1st. This team is too polarizing this year.

Great job by Hammel to get Joc after that pop fly dropped. That could've been a disaster.

Maikel Franco is a beast. Just hit his 10th home run of the year and 3rd in 2 games. Now has as many homers as Kris Bryant and was called up after him too. This kid can play.

These Dodger pitchers must hate the offense. This offense has been a joke over the last month.

Well...at least the Jays didn't get murdered tonight what with Archer's greatness. Hopefully they can take the series tomorrow afternoon.

I'm not going to overreact to a bad month since they weren't going to keep hitting like the '27 Yankees, but shouldn't Turner and his 164 OPS+ be starting every day?

                              Not according to Mattingly.

Who does he platoon with? That's insane that he's not a regular.

Kenley Jansen's numbers are stupid so far. 22 Ks/0 BBs in 12 IP. Coming in to a really tough situation, though.
