This team is such a blast to watch right now. The offense is really clicking.

This is getting more than a little sketchy. Need a DP ball, badly.

What a play by Addison Russell! Cubs survive 5-4.

even as a Cardinals fan....that ejection of Rondon was bull.

on a 2-2 count there is no intent of Rondon hitting Garcia. Also Garcia was leaning and did fall forward toward the plate before contact.

Umps really need to start using some critical thinking skills and knowing the situations instead of just willy nilly throwing people out because they already issued warnings.

There is a rule in there that the ump can determine intent.

But, yeah...that was a hell of a play by Russell to end the game.

Post-game presser with Maddon should be fun.

yeah... if the Cards are taking umbrage to getting plunked, maybe they shouldn't be so close to the plate.

With the exception of Holliday, of course, the other pitches have been almost over the black.

Buck and Pat were talking about him and they mentioned how the asst. hitting coach for the Sox believes that he's just scratching the surface and that he could be really special down the road.

Anywho, that was a tough tough way to lose. At least they didn't just roll over and die in the bottom of the 9th. Hopefully it was just a hiccup and the pen can find its stride again.

I mean where I follow prospects a little I knew about him before he came up in '13. So I knew he has a great potential behind him. Right now he is either solely in 3rd or tied for 3rd or somewhere close to that in the MLB in hits. He is hitting .320ish, with 6 HR's and 70+ RBI. Now the power isn't there but he is only 22, turning 23 in a couple of weeks. So he can still grow some more muscle. His OPS is .765 with an OBP of .352 and slugging is .413. His power projection was about 20-25 HR a year in his prime and I think he can get there. The one downfall of his for the Red Sox is his agent, who is Boris. And his defense is also looking so much better this year. I just hope Dembrowski can see that we need to pay this kid as he is our SS for a long time. And he is arguably our best SS prospect/player since we traded Nomar. Depends on if you like/liked Hanley or not.

Franklin Gutierrez is averaging like one home run every ten at bats. Just went deep off Hamels to tie the ball game.

Man Astros can't even win at home now losing to the A's again.

Twins close to getting swept in a doubleheader at home against the Angels, who they're tied with, who look to be possibly making a push.

                              I love baseball.

Beyond upsetting loss by jays. Up 4-2 in 9th with closer who has been real good this year. Red sox get 5 in the 9th,jays get 2 in bottom half, and game ends 7-6 red sox. Jays were something like 73-0 in this situation prior to this. Red sox 0-40 or so.

Funny how jays win season series vs royals, yankees and other good teams, but struggle vs sox.

                                Red sox right now
