Who are the Cubs going to hit leadoff? Are they really thinking JHey?Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Since his market has had 0 development this offseason the Rays have interest in Ian Desmond. 1year deal likely.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 01-19-2016, 08:31 PM.Comment

Re: 2015 MLB Hot Stove thread
I saw on MLBN that the Cubs have spent more this offseason than any other team (I think it was around $250M). Having spent that money, do we think they got good value for it? I like the Heyward signing, but outside of that I could only think of Zobrist/Lackey.
I dunno...it just feels like they should have gotten more value for their money."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Re: 2015 MLB Hot Stove thread
This is from the end of a recent MLBTR article on the Justin Upton signing:
Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports first reported talks between the two sides. Jon Heyman reported that the two sides were nearing a deal and that Upton would be getting a long-term deal (links to Twitter). USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reported the agreement, pending a physical. Rosenthal was the first to tweet the six-year term, and Nightengale broke news of the $132.75MM guarantee (via Twitter). Rosenthal reported the opt-out clause (via Twitter), and SB Nation’s Chris Cotillo was first to mention the no-trade clause (Twitter link). Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reported the evenly distributed breakdown of the deal (Twitter link). Nightengale reported that there were no deferrals (Twitter link). Heyman reported that Upton’s partial no-trade clause allows him to block trades to 20 teams (Twitter link).Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Well, better to give proper credit than not. Perhaps it needs some cleaning up in how it is written (while giving proper credit to all sources).OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment
