Now you know how all of us are feeling.

Don't ask. Don't question. Just take it and run.

We have the new Ruben Amaro Jr., folks.

From the same guy that broke the full deal: Dbacks people saying the package would not have come close to getting them Fernandez. Wow.

The Marlins are clearly off their rocker though. They declined Urias+Seager, no?

Well, I would bet the D-backs ran that same package through the Marlins and they turned it down.

We've seen young guys be moved because teams wanted to go for it right away. As a Jays fan I can think of two examples (one positive one negative)

Positive: The Carter/Alomar trade was originally going to be Carter to San Diego for McGriff but Alomar was thrown in as an afterthought as SD asked for Fernandez. We all know what Alomar turned into.

Negative: In '93 the Jays needed one final piece for the WS. They had to give up the young Jeff Kent to the Mets and I think it can be safely said that Kent is a borderline HOF guy. The loss of Kent has haunted the Jays for years as they've never had a bonafide good/great 2B since then.

The D'Backs are clearly thinking short term here even if only one of the prospects turns out to be great they're still going to regret it in the long run.

I guess the Marlins are serious in not trading Fernandez if they're asking for an impossible deal.

Good for the Diamondbacks. You're supposed to go into every year doing everything in your power to win that year. It's admirable. I remember when the organization I rooted for was like that.

Alright maybe I missed it. And I don't blame you for not looking through Twitter for it.

Edit: Went on MLBTR and looked at all Fernandez related posts. And found that the Marlins were asking for both Urias and Seager. And they are unwilling to move Seager but would be willing to give up Urias. And one guy reported that it would take something like Seager, Urias, and Scott Van Slyke.

AZ trades THE #1 PICK of 2015 to us for Shelby? Surely I'm missing something.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Marlins turning down Seager and Urias? First time hearing that rumor.

Yea so aren't the rest of us...that's everyone's reaction. WTF did Arizona just do and the Braves committed the greatest robbery in a long time.
