Great haul for the Red Sox on that Miley/Aro (who is that?) trade.

And hopefully the Cubs stay away from Jose with those demands.

Some reliever we used last year with a career 6.97 ERA in 10 IP.

Never thought much of the kid. Pretty much a waste on the 40, as he has no use in MLB for us. Carson Smith just makes me happy...

Rays/Cubs trade talks about Javy Baez.

Chris Archer isn't involved. Relievers and Matt Moore/Alex Cobb are involved.

Rays also talking to other teams about their relievers.

A source tells ESPN.com’s Buster Olney that the odds of a Fernandez deal appear to have dramatically increased over the course of the day. (Twitter link.) What seemed like a negligible possibility at the outset of the Winter Meetings could now be nearing even odds, per Olney’s source.

Any chance the Dodgers scoop Chapman and make him into a SP? Or has that idea been dead and buried forever?

So, McGee + Moore/Cobb for Baez+ ?? Not a huge fan of that but wouldn't mind having Alex Cobb in the mix. He also makes sense because he's rehabbing and the MLB rotation is already getting pretty full with Lester/Arrieta/Lackey/Hammel/Hendricks in there.

It'll be some combination of McGee/Boxberger paired with Cobb or Moore for Baez. May be one other Cub player involved as well. Have no idea who though.

I got to say, the Red Sox on paper have the inside track for the division right now. If they can get rid of either Panda or Ramirez than it'll be even better IMO.

In Jays news, Edwin Encarnacion wants an extension by ST (or Opening Day there's conflicting reports) or he'll test the free agent waters in '16.

if the Baez rumored deal is for relievers I think i will be very upset no matter the caliber.

Ben Zobrist decision expected in next 48 hours, according to one person involved in process.

And Bleacher, what if it was Chapman or Kimbrel before he was dealt?

I can't imagine they would move Baez to TB for only relievers. The Moore/Cobb + relievers deal seems good to me, though. I'd hate to lose Javy, but there just isn't enough room for everyone to play consistently.

A proven pitcher, injuries aside, and a proven reliever for just one prospect is absolutely asinine.

Usually it's the proven player being traded for multiple prospects, not the other way around.

It's probably a bad trade but I think you might have a bit of a bias against prospects at this point, lol.
