It might be the biggest meltdown in the history of Atlanta sports. It's difficult to figure out what they're trying to do because they do the opposite of what they tell fans and the media. Freddie's numbers have taken a hit, but who else scares anyone in that lineup?

Well they've got Aybar now, Peterson is there, Olivera's gonna get a full season, etc.

The Sox should at least look at Freddie. Maybe Wren can help persuade DD into making something happen here.
We're already being flooded by Markakis reunion rumors. Pains me to say this as a huge Kakes fan, but I really hope we address our corner OF needs with other guys.

Buehrle would fit well in STL provided the last 3-4 starts aren't indicative of how he'll pitch this point forward. He would definitely fill the Lackey role of the elder statesman who can still pitch effectively for the Cards.

Aubrey Huff coming out of retirement lol.

He won WS with Giants in 2010 and 2012

In other words...he's joining the Giants and they'll win in 2016.

Ehhh I mis-worded my post. Teheran, I'm not a fan of. Freeman would kind of be overkill. we already have three solid middle of the order hitters. And the two "randoms" would be top prospects, which don't have many of. Regarding my post, it was two "randoms" in my dream, which obviously wouldn't happen. If it was two randoms I'd take it in a heartbeat. But I don't want to give up top prospects for it.

The Rangers have acquired RHP Tom Wilhelmsen, OF James Jones, and a PTBNL from Seattle for RHP Anthony Bass and OF Leonys Martin.

LOVE Martin's defense. Sad we gave up Wilhelmsen. So now I see a lineup with Marte leading off and Martin batting 9th.

So the final deal looks like this.

                          Mariners Get:
                          Leonys Martin
                          Anthony Bass

                          Rangers Get:
                          Tom Wilhelmsen
                          James Jones
                          PTBNL

I like Leonys Martin, especially if he returns to his 3 WAR form. He's a rare player who can put his speed to use in all three facets- defense, baserunning and stealing.

I mean I wouldn't be honestly, but damn, trade Baez, trade Schwarber, trade Castro but don't trade Soler.
