Cespedes, Mets talking again... This time about an opt out after the 1st year of the 3 year deal.

Decision on where he's playing could come within 24-48 hours.

I really wish the Orioles would get in on Cespedes if he'd consider a short term deal, but for some reason we refuse to put opt-outs in contracts. Our offense would have the potential to be scary good with him.

Well...guess that's what a .543 OPS away from Coors does.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Seems like the Mets are "in" on Cespedes as well.
Rumor is a 3 year offer...not sure of the $$$$, but he did say he prefers to play in N.Y.C. and asked them to up their previous offer.

David Wright has chimed in to the FO asking them to make a better push for Cespedes and called him a great teammate.

So full Cespedes deal with #Mets, per sources: Three years, $75M, full no-trade clause, opt-out after one year. Pending physical.

Possibly a 1 year deal to get back out next year when the OF crop might be weaker than this offseason.

At six years....I would have hated the deal.
At three....I can live with it.

But this was more about keeping Cespedes from the Nats then him playing for the Mets.

But I still think 25 mil per is nuts.

Mets easily the NL East favorites now.
