I know that the solution to not catching fish is not to cast fewer nets, but with our recent track record of developing players, odds are we would've botched the pick anyway. I'm more bummed about losing the slot money that comes with it.

But if the Orioles end up winning a World Series, I don't give a **** if they suck for the next 50 years.

The Yovani deal makes me very pleased about what we paid for Happ and Estrada. But if Fowler gets like $13m for 2 years, I'm gonna be pretty envious of that.

They should have just asked for him in the trade.

They did the same thing with Matt Moore.

Matt Moore was kind of in a different echelon. Then again, I guess they did the same with Chris Archer, and he wasn't as lauded.

It's just how the Rays are forced to do business with their lack of a budget. The success they've had over the last 8 seasons compared to their wallet is second to none.

Archer is a legit Cy Young candidate and they're paying him peanuts for the next 5 seasons.

They pretty much started this trend with Longoria.

Wish we would've had the foresight to do the same with Manny.

I wonder if in hindsight the Rays probably regret that Longoria deal now. While he's still very good he's not the same guy that inked that deal.

Jays going after Jay Bruce. Should be interesting to see what they give up considering what he is owed and his production if the deal happens.

I traded Bruce to the Jays in my The Show franchise. He hit 30 HRs and batted around .260. So there's that...
