Good lord, I figured it would be have been around 4 years/80 million, but that's just... wow. Anyone who gives him that deserves exactly what they get, perhaps more.

I'll take both in Boston, but definitely not on that kind of ridiculous deal. Bautista wants more than what Hamilton got.

I wonder if Pirates would want him. If Jays out of contention at deadline, maybe Pirates would do a deal giving up Polanco? Bautista still has ties to Pittsburgh i believe, and adding him to the Pirates would put them over the top.

Might as well do Stroman for Sandoval and Hanley with the Jays taking on all that money while the Jays are at it.

Sweeten the pot, add in Buchholz and we'll get EE.

Giving contracts like that out to Vets way past their prime set teams back MANY years...

just ask the the cubs and soriano.

IF the Jays have ANY brains in the FO they laugh and give him five walking out the door.

                    thats a bold statement lol

over the top of 3rd place in their own division? they didn't improve their pitching staff OR lineup. don't see that happening or pirates parting with polanco.

Bautista would like nice in Boston next year. Absolutely mashes at Fenway. Maybe even move him to LF for two years and then he and Hanley can be a 1B/DH platoon.

The Jays would be wise to use that 30 million other ways.

Orioles sign Dexter Fowler to a 3 year deal.

I don't get why people make such a big deal about Orioles physicals. They're doing all the possible due diligence before committing tens of millions of dollars to a player, and last time this popped up it saved them from giving $15 million to Grant Balfour, who pitched like a guy with a bad shoulder the past two seasons.

Tommy Hunter failed a Yankees physical this offseason and nobody said a word. I get that he's not as big of a name, but still.

It's a shame they're going to waste all of that offense by combining it with a AAAA rotation. They have one of the worst rotations in baseball. The Red Sox, Yankees, and Blue Jays are going to eat them alive.
