Sounds like a 3 team deal... Bruce to Toronto, Michael Saunders to Anaheim.

Looks like now they're in the medicals swapping part of trade.

Bruce has red sox, yankees and rays on his no trade list(3/8 teams on it). Wonder why those 3, but is fine in Toronto when he plays those 3 so much.

Thrilled if we're not paying him much. If we're eating that contract, no thanks.

These no trade lists are mostly about leverage for the player. Bruce would accept a trade to any team but he would want his option picked up. Like Phillips.

I think that's prob why they're getting him without giving up more than just Saunders.

I doubt the Reds will be paying much of that contract if the trade gets finished.

Unpredictable moves for jays at LF either way. Trade starting LF Revere, then deal new frontrunner for starting LF in Saunders, get RP Storen and new starting LF in a guy who mostly played RF in his career in Bruce.

I like this deal for Toronto because they've been very right-handed and could use a LHB than can hit a HR every now and then. Bruce should also be fine defensively in either corner. The Angels get a LHB, too, in Saunders who is a more attractive every day option than Daniel Nava and they don't need to add a bunch of payroll with a declining CarGo. Have to wait and see what the Reds got, but if the Frazier and Chapman deals are any guide, they probably got 55 cents on the dollar.

So they got Canadian money back?

But Bruce going from NL Central to AL East, could end up seeing the 2011-2013 Jay Bruce again. Where does he bat though lol. 30+ HR potential guy batting 7th?! Sorry opposing pitchers. Bruce-Goins-Pillar might be "easiest" part of lineup you face. 30+ hr guy and two hitters who hit almost .280 in 2nd half last year......"easiest"

Deal on hold. Possibly physicals related.

Why would switching from the NL Central to the AL East make Bruce go back to being the player he was in 2011-2013?

You don't think going from NL Central to AL East won't boost his HR numbers? Rogers Centre as home park, and being power LHB at Fenway and Yankee Stadium, should do him good
