Well woth his horrible contract, there's gonna be a point where he cant play even average D at 2nd base so he'd get moved to the less-demanding position. Not sure why he'd ever move to 3B.

I think he becomes a DH after Cruz's contract is up

If the M's trade Trumbo or non-tender (which is rumored they will) him I can see Cano making the move to 1B sooner rather than later.

Cueto's asking price is believed to be in $140-$160 mil range.

D'Backs are more likely to pursue Maeda or make a trade then chase Leake, Kazmir or Samardzjia... I'm hoping they still try hard to land Cueto.

I like, I like. Very solid Fenway hitter, and will be a good 4th outfielder for us.

Smart signing as Bradley and Castillo have yet to show any consistency at the plate.

                  On Young,

Jeff Passan is hinting that the Red Sox are going to move an OF this offseason.

Add Chris Young to Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr., Rusney Castillo and Brock Holt, and it's obvious the Red Sox are angling for a trade. Boston adores Andrew Benintendi, as it ought. He'll move quick. In FA market without much in the way of CF, Sox have incentive to deal one.

I think it's Bradley. He is still young (25, turning 26 around OD next year) and controllable for 5 more season and isn't arbitration eligible until 2017. And he isn't going to reach FA until 2021.

No need to move Bradley. Young is not an everyday player.

If Young is the reason Bradley is moved someone in the front office should be tested for drugs.

If Bradley is traded because of Chris Young than that's laughable to the extreme unless they get something that completely knocks their socks off.

Sox aren't dealing Bradley. They announcex last week he'll be moved to CF everyday now i.stead of LF. Betts most likely will take over LF with Castillo staying in RF and Young the 4th outfielder.

This makes no sense. Betts is far more valuable in CF.

If they said he can play CF, they're angling to boost his trade value. It makes some sense; Bradley isn't AS good as he showed last year and they might be able to sell high.

That's the point I was getting at it...I really don't think Bradley's all that good. He is great on defense, I will admit that. But that is only 1 facet of the game. Dude can't make contact and doesn't hit for power when he does. Last year, along with tearing up ST a couple of years ago, was an anomaly.

JBJ is a better defensive CF than Betts so it benefits Boston most to have Betts play LF and Bradley play CF in this configuration. I don't think it affects their trade value at all. It will affect the WAR calculation, but teams can already tell both can play a decent-to-excellent CF.

The Marlins are considering all-time HR leader Barry Bonds as a hitting coach this season.
