I like it. Another Searage project. Dude went off in Pittsburgh and he doesn't need to be anything more than simply average to make that worth it.

$12MM/year for a 33-year old pitcher.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

... who posted a 4.39 ERA with 1.37 WHIP during three previous mediocre seasons with the Jays.
This is just a reminder to all of you parents out there with young kids. Tie their right arms behind their backs so they learn to throw stuff around the house with their left arms. LOLComment

Yeah I won't bother, I have a feeling people are going to be very closed minded about this. When the Red Sox pay Price a $240m albatross and the Jays are in a good position we can revisit this."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2015 MLB Hot Stove thread
Eh....I'm not so hot on this but I can see the value of having Happ back in the fold in that it's always good to have a lefty in the rotation. There have been stretches when he was in Toronto where he pitched lights out and he had a very good end to the 2015 season. As it stands he's the only lefty in the rotation right now. It's a slight overpay but at the very least it still keeps payroll flexibility if the Jays go after a big name FA.
It really does look like they're going for the philosophy of good but not great pitchers. We saw how that went for the Red Sox last year but at least the Jays have the potential ace in Stroman. I actually hope the Yankees sign Price. He's going to end up hamstringing whoever signs him and I dislike the Yankees more than the Red Sox. Kinda hard to hate Boston when they have talent like Mookie, I guess."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
