As expected. The Royals will non-tender Greg Holland.

Funny, ha, but a pretty poor comparison. Arrieta had only been with Baltimore but had untapped potential. Volstad has failed for about 5 or 6 teams already.

Meh...aside from Arrieta being about a year younger, their career numbers are very similar at the same point. Volstad clearly has talent and just hasn't put it together...I just thought it was funny that a Cubs fan would dismiss a pitcher given what you've seen the last two years.

Note - I do not expect Volstad to break out...just thought it was funny.

So now every late 20s cruddy pitcher that changes teams due to bad performance is a budding-Jake Arrieta-change-of-scenery case? Give me a break, lol. Arrieta and Volstad are nothing alike in how they pitch, any career stat coincidences aside.

Tony LaCava named GM of Jays!

              Apparently just "interim".

and I believe that...Shapiro will install someone to his liking after the GM meetings IMO.

Also John Gibbons returns next season as the field manager.

Alright, the Sox' main objective is to obtain every ace, without losing any prospects/stars.

                  Let's do this.

See I wouldn't be surprised if we get 2 aces this offseason. One through FA and the other through a trade. I think that Gray could be an option as well as Price. Dombrowski has shown he doesn't care for prospects and having a top farm system. So I could see guys like Margot, one of the catchers (preferably Vazquez but not going to happen, I know), Owens, Johnson, Guerra all be moved this offseason. And I wouldn't be all that surprised if Devers get moved either. I think I remember reading that the only prospects they would be hesitant to trade are Moncada, Benintendi (who they can't trade anyways) and Espinoza.

My Dodgers will be active this off season. Puig is expected to be dealt. I would be surprised if he is in LA on opening day. We will obviously try to acquire 2 more starters and bring Greinke back. Bullpen upgrades are needed for sure. Ryu should be back by spring and if he has no ill effects from back surgery we'll be alright.

I have this sick suspicion that Puig is gonna get traded to the Braves somehow. Braves need "flash" and Dodgers need pitching.

Price will never pitch for the Yankees or the Red Sox.

I'll believe it when I see it. Either him not signing in either place or him saying that.

Looks like the Nats might hire Dusty.

                                Teheran for Puig? Y'know what?

I'll even throw in Williams Perez as a nice gift.

                                You're WELCOME Dodgers.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
