I think Wagner gets in at some point. I wasn't aware of how similar their numbers were. Admittedly, I watched more of Hoffman than I did of Wagner, but it's pretty amazing considering the polar opposite of their pitching styles. Thanks for bringing that up.

TBH I wasn't either until within the past week when I saw Jay Jaffe on MLBN. And it was brought up there. It's scary how close their numbers are but how the conversation around the 2 is so different. With Hoffman a borderline first ballot guy and Wagner getting little consideration from what I have seen.

Something like that. All I know is I would have rather had Edgar Martinez on my team than a guy who averaged like 60-65 IP for most of his career.

I was just looking for the name of that game. It was the very first baseball game I played.

Just read that Griffey Jr. will be the first #1 overall pick to go into the HOF.

Griff maybe the first unanimous guy. 211 ballots of the 495 sent out have been made public he is on all of them.

                          WOW... only Piazza & Griffey.

                          Griffey broke Seaver's record.

440 ballots cast. Piazza, Griffey only 2 this year. Record %. All but 3 ballots. That's surprising to me. 83% for Piazza. Bonds and Clemens up 7.5%. 13% jump for Schilling. Martinez up 16%. And Mussina up over 18% from last year. Wagner at 10% and Hoffman at near 70%.

So pumped for Jr! Would love to know why three people felt the need to leave him off their ballots.
