    Re: Yankees-Red Sox ALCS Thread

Sounds like a disgruntle Red-Sux fan, contemplating suicide...
Please. I am a Red Sox fan but I'd never contemplate suicide over a season where they failed to win the World Series, especially with the Patriots not losing in over a year.

All of a sudden let the players do the talkin. Nobody on these boards is going to decide the series.

Sounds like someone who shouldn't be posting in this thread If they can't take the heat. This is the greatest rivalry in sports. You have passionate fans of both teams posting, some may be more passionate then others. This isn't the regular season. This is for the right to represent the American League in the "World Series"
I believe the title of this thread is Yankees-Red Sox ALCS thread, not arrogant fans run their mouth thread about something they have no control over. I just think its stupid when fans of a team act like they are better than fans of an opposing team because their team won. We're all fans but we have no hand in our team's victories. And being passionate isn't the same thing as being thick-headed.

It's a shame for the Red Sox and their fans that Curt Schilling probably won't pitch in another game until April. It's also a shame for baseball fans in general that are deprived of seeing one of the greatest big game pitchers of this era do his thing. I think this Red Sox team is still capable of winning even without Curt Schilling who was clearly their best pitcher over the regular season but it will be a lot harder. It's never a good thing when an injury knocks out one of the best players in the game during the postseason.

People were speculating that a World Series win for the Red Sox would not be complete without going through the Yankees. Can the same be said of the Yankees for not going through Curt Schilling on their way to a world title?

Game 2 is underway and the Yankees start it off with a leadoff walk and stolen base!

You guys may think I'm crazy, but I think Pedro is on tonight. His stuff is the best I've seen in a while.

Three of his first five pitches looked like they should've been strikes. The first two on the outside corner to Jeter looked very good and the pitch to ARod that Jeter stole second on was masked from the umpire by Varitek standing up.

He definitely has the stuff to have a very strong outing.
