I have no issues with him but not sure how him doing that is a step towards "making the game fun again."

Not even really sure how it isn't fun anymore either but that's another conversation I guess.
I was just going with the typical response for whenever Bryce Harper does something stupid.

The Toddfather Strikes in Texas will be the headline of this one. A 12th inning grand slam to put Chicago up 8-4.

I get the fact that he needs to be more mature and etc, but I found it funny .

I think by rule he might even be suspended for being back on the field.
Really just having some fun. But, I don't see how Bryce is disrespecting the game. Was Papi disrespecting the game too? Players get heated, Bryce does need to grow up some, but he gets more hate then he deserves.

He should be. But after John Farrell got ejected Friday night he stayed in the dugout and watched the rest of the game and isn't facing any discipline. Also wasn't this confrontation after the game had ended and would that make a difference?

True on the bolded part and he will as he gets older.

I also think he gets too much credit for starting a "movement" when he doesn't really have any philosophical consistency to his actions. He's basically doing whatever he wants and the reasoning people infer is it's because "he's making baseball fun again"

In reality, Bryce Harper is just being Bryce Harper and the media needs something to write about.

Yes I hate the Bryce is making baseball fun again headline. If baseball is boring you, then maybe you have a short attention span.

I haven't seen anything Bryce has done attitude wise that has been ground breaking.

I don't tune in to watch Bryce flip his hair, or scream at an umpire.

Is Bryce a colorful character? Sure. But is he disrespectful pos. No. I think Milton Bradley makes Bryce look like a saint. The media is lame.

I'm not sure how wishing someone to get hit by a baseball is considered a very mature attitude.

Seems like you're getting a bit riled up over a guy that plays baseball.

What he did was unacceptable but it has nothing to do with him being an exciting player as well.

Yea what he did was wrong tonight but I don't have other issues with how he play's the game.

I can't defend some of the ways I acted in the heat of the moment so I won't be a total hypocrite but in retrospect I wouldn't be surprised if he came out and admitted his actions tonight were wrong.

Didn't he get tossed late in a tie game for essentially no reason?

I'd be pretty upset after that, as well. Hell, I nearly cussed out an umpire after a men's league game last week because he started squeezing me in my last inning and I ended up giving up a couple of runs due to my extended pitch count.

I can't imagine how I'd react in his situation. Cussing out an umpire is pretty harmless.

Harper is an amazing talent but more of this will quickly make him an unlikable jerk. Similar to another Washington guy (Alex Ovechkin).

What he did tonight is actually my favorite thing he's ever done. Wish he charged the umpire with a bat.

Umpires and refs across all sports need the most humbling out of anyone in the sports world. Well, sports writers are probably first and foremost.

In other news, Peavy needs to GTFO. And the Angels are most definitely suffering from the Curse of the Matrix.

Can't say I particularly agree. Especially when the ump made good calls on the ones Harper was miffed about.

The Yankees have more losses (18) than both Chicago teams combined (16).
