Yeah, I have no idea where this pop came from, I pegged him as a powerless bottom of the order defensive specialist when we made the trade. In other words I thought we were getting the Brendan Ryan of CF's. Pleasantly surprised. He's probably been the best 9 hole hitter in baseball this year.

So much for the Cards sweeping their way back into the race with the Cubs.

Just saw a tweet that Kershaw has more shutouts than walks this month lol. The one true pitching god is sick and tired of hearing about some dude in Chicago and taking it out on the league. It's a real shame the Dodgers aren't better.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

The Phillies just became the latest case study in exploring how winning leads to more bat flips."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Odubel Herrera was just intentionally walked in the top of the 8th. Surprised the Tigers didn't plunk him to put him on because of that bat flip.
