    Re: 5/31 - 6/12 Game Discussion Thread

Adam Jones basically said if he wants to be Pedro he should pitch as well as Pedro and not try to hurt guys, which he said Pedro didn't do...anyways, my favorite part of that quote was the confirmation that these punishments outside of missing games are irrelevant. "Hopefully the league will look into it, I've got Mannys fine, and that's that." Lol I love how little they care about even making it seem like the fines matter, I've been aware of times where guys have paid for fines for other guys but I've personally never seen them come out and say it beforehand lol. They might as well not even bother handing out these fines anymore, the only real deterrence is missing game checks.

Random, but this reminded me of when the Angels beat up on Fernando Rodney and taunted him with his own arrow celebration, why cant more guys just have fun with stuff like this? I hate to put anyone in a box or judge, but there's too many players never involved in stuff like this to not take something away from it, even though Ventura was already confirmed and I think this would look different for Manny without the A's incidents.

The Cardinals were walked off by the Reds because baseball.

Bumgarner vs the Red Sox has me intrigued.

Anyone else notice how Salvador Perez didn't do anything to stop Machado from charging the mound even after he took a hop step there?

Yeah, it jumped out to me because you'll see catchers in front of the batter even in situations where he wasn't hit and is just looking at the pitcher, here's this guy making a beeline for your starter and Sal couldn't care less, shows where Yordano stands in their locker room. Apparently Yost said the guys were pissed.

I watched KC's feed of it and at one point there was a shot of Ventura sitting alone in the dugout and a bunch of his teammates were just staring at him.

Touch windy in Philly today, this should be entertaining.

Almora guns down Herrera at the plate. Questionable send there.

Really hope Vince Velasquez is ok. Threw 2 pitches to start the game and then left.

Gotta think they're sick of Ventura at this point. Too many shenanigans on what I think is am otherwise likable team.

Wonder what they can get out of a trade. Wonder who'd even trade for that loser.

One has to think he's on his last legs with the Royals. Apparently he's gunning for Jose Bautista next per a blurb I posted in the off-topic thread.

Bad pitcher with a bad attitude and probably a future reliever at this point. You're picking up pennies off the ground by trading him.

At least Lackey has been good. I can stand him as long as he's pitching well.

Nice day for Javy Baez and Almora with his first MLB hit.
