Cubs now 27 games above water, playing .701 baseball. A shellacking of the Pirates and the Cards choking against Texas has the division lead up to 12.5 games. This is looking like either a runway division title or 1969.

Well that was a crappy weekend for the Jays....Looks like Stroman is going through that stretch in a pitcher's career where he has to make adjustments to hitters. Hopefully he can make that transition better than some of the other homegrown Jays starters of recent vintage. (Ricky Romero i'm looking at you)

The more I watch Javy Baez on defense, the more convinced I get that he has a Gold Glove at some position in his future. His defense is smooth and ferocious at the same time.
