Enjoy Sanchez while it lasts, lol. 43.5% HR/FB and .404 BABIP probably not sustainable. One of the bigger statistical anomalies to start a career that I can remember.

Quickest to 11 HRs to start a career in MLB history.

Twins have scored 5+ runs in each of last 4 games. They've lost them all.

Nice to see Jays sweep a series they needed to sweep. Today was final home game of regular season vs a non AL East opponent.

August 29,2015, Encarnacion hit 3 home runs at home and fans celebrate hat trick by throwing hats on field.

August 28,2016, Donaldson hit 3 home runs at home and fans celebrate hat trick by throwing hats on field.

Donaldson with the hat trick. The latest MVP candidate to do so. This game probably puts him in the lead for MVP.

Heyward starting to hit the ball with authority? We could really use that. He's starting to actually hit line drives and deeper fly balls instead of nubbers, tappers, rollers, pop ups, and choppers.

Hard to believe that that was the first 3 hr game of Donaldson's career. I'm loving what the Rogers Centre crowd is doing whenever they get these opportunities with the hat trick celebrations. It really gives baseball that uniquely Canadian feel LOL

Gillaspie was due for a hit. Giants have three triples in this current inning, and I think five in the game.

Russell with a really bad decision to try for the force out at 2nd with 2 outs and A-Gone struggling down the first base line. Not too many times I can remember Russell making a mental error like that.

Sadly though it looked like the guy was actually out. Sucks when the replay system doesn't even work right.

Bad decision by Baez but Edwards looked really good in a huge high leverage situation when Strop and Rondon come back and w/new Grimm the bullpen come playoff time looks much better.

Ah yes thanks for the correction that it was Baez with the throw. I stepped out for a moment and didn't realize that Baez was playing somewhat near SS on the replay due to the shading against A-Gone. That makes more sense that Baez would make a mental error and throw to the wrong base than Russell. Sometimes too much sizzle and not enough steak with Baez on defense.

Also, not hitting against Brock Stewart etc was the real issue. And Trevor Cahill hitting a guy and making an error to lead up to that point.

He looked safe to me, too.

Cubs-Dodgers should be a good playoff matchup should they meet. They Cubs won the season series 4-3, but were shutout twice and scored only 2 runs in 3 of the other games.

Hmm, I saw a replay looking in from RF that clearly showed otherwise. Maybe I just saw it at a quick glance and didn't think much of it.
