Crazy ending for Jays. Carrera with pinch hit go ahead HR in bottom of 8th. Then top of 9th, Osuna gets strike 3 for final out, celebrates, players start running in to celebrate, Jays HR/game winning horn blasts........but then everyone realizes Martin never held onto the foul tip, so they got to continue playing. Rays then proceed to hit ball to warning track for loud final out.

The long rumored trade to Toronto HAS to happen. The way this guy is hitting he'd be a great replacement for either both or one of Edwin/Bautista.

I tells ya, if the Jays had lost tonight I think I would've thrown my remote right into the TV screen. Thankfully that wasn't the case.

Kyle Hendricks thru 7 with no no still going. Just got Matt Carpenter swinging at a nasty change up. 6 more outs.

Hendricks' ERA just went below 2. This cat needs some Cy Young consideration.

I think he and Arrietta are going to be splitting votes. Either way, you could see the Cubs with MVP and Cy Young award winners this year.

Well if you sort the FanGraphs MLB leaderboard by pitching WAR, the Cubs actually have 3 pitchers bunched up...

14 - Kyle Hendricks 3.6 WAR (before tonight)
                15 - Jon Lester 3.5 WAR
                16 - Jake Arrieta 3.5 WAR

I think that one of Scherzer/Syndergaard/Fernandez should win the NL Cy Young, but usually the ERA champ has a pretty strong case also. Hendricks leads baseball in ERA by about a half of a run over Syndergaard.

Baez makes a nice play on Jhonny Peralta's pop fly ball to end the 8th. 3 more outs...Would be the first no no in this version of Busch Stadium's history.

And Maddon gets tossed by Joe West, lol

Now that's how you show you own your division. Almost no hitting the team that's chasing you in their own park.

Looks like Cubs are the best team in baseball in 2016. It doesn't mean they are an automatic lock to win the World Series in 2016.

I want to see a Red Sox-Cubs WS though. Should have happened in 2007.

Kyle Hendricks is amazing. He's without a doubt the game 2 starter when the playoffs start imo.

CY Young will be tough imo he needs to have a sub 2 ERA to be considered because the other guys will have the K's so if he has a huge lead in the run prevention part of the equation i could see it being interesting.

Also I know FIP says he's basically the same guy with having the best defense in the sport but you can easily tell he's completely different this year.
