Entropy just doesn't happen in MLB.

Toronto and Baltimore losing and Detroit winning shouldn't be that impossible given the opponents. But Baltimore has already won, Detroit is on the verge of losing, and Toronto was leading for much of the game and are now tied.

On the NL side, the Giants have lead the whole game.

So if Toronto wins and they are tied with Baltimore at 89-73, is the Wild Card game in Toronto? I think the Jays went 10-9 against the O's head to head. They would have identical division records also.

Giants are in and headed to face the Mets at Citi Field. Bumgarner vs Syndergaard will be a heckuva matchup. I am giddy that both teams are burning up their ace to win the right to face the Cubs.

Giants are in and headed to face the Mets at Shea. Bumgarner vs Syndergaard will be a heckuva matchup. I am giddy that both teams are burning up their ace to win the right to face the Cubs.

I'm definitely pulling for the Cubs in the playoffs. Even though Chase Utley and Carlos Ruiz are Dodgers now I can't bring myself to root for the Dodgers.

I think it's better that the Cardinals aren't there...we all know they would have all the sudden gotten hot and won the entire thing and that bad call from the Cincy game would just be the elephant in the room.

I have to be honest...a Giants/Dodgers NLCS would be delicious, as much as the Cubs story is great. Heck, if I'm the Cubs I hate the idea of facing the Giants in a best of 5!

Exactly why I'm pulling for the Mets to beat the Giants on Wednesday. I would much rather face a team with a bad offense and a depleted starting rotation than the even year boogeymen.

Nice to see the Cubs get that 9th inning comeback win and heading into the playoffs with some steam. It sounded like a Cubs home game at GABP today.

It ended 103-58-1 in the regular season for anyone who bet on what the win total would actually be.
